Winneconne High School hosted an exciting Career Fair for our students Tuesday!

Students had the opportunity to connect with representatives from local and regional businesses, colleges, trade programs, military branches, and law enforcement to explore a wide range of career paths.

From hands-on demonstrations to engaging discussions, our students learned about many future opportunities: including full/part-time hiring positions, youth apprenticeships, job shadow experiences, and career paths after graduation.

Before the event, students prepared by learning what to expect, how to dress professionally, and how to confidently introduce themselves. They did a fantastic job representing Winneconne with respect and professionalism!

“We are so impressed by your students!” shared one visiting vendor.

"I couldn't even believe I was talking to a sophomore!" added another vendor.

It was a fantastic day, and we sincerely thank everyone who played a part in making it possible!

Our 4K families enjoyed a wonderful morning of outdoor learning and connection at the forest. Students and families made binoculars, set off on a scavenger hunt, and explored leaves through close observation and leaf rubbings. Along the StoryHike trail, they discovered stories in a natural setting, and the playground offered more room to play and enjoy time together.

The fun continued in the indoor classroom, where families warmed up while coloring. Some gathered around the bonfire to enjoy s’mores. Each activity offered a chance to explore, create, play, and share a memorable experience. Just as importantly, families had a welcoming opportunity to meet their child's new friends and parents, get to know 4K teachers, and begin building lasting relationships that will help foster a sense of belonging to the Winneconne Community School District family.

Thank you to all the families and staff who helped make the gathering such a success. A special thank you to our amazing school forester, Mr. Kolbe, for his thoughtful planning and fantastic hosting. We look forward to learning, exploring, and growing together as a school community!

Mrs. Riley’s STEAM class is officially underway at the elementary school! From our youngest 4K learners all the way up to our 5th-grade leaders, students are working hard to master the engineering design process: ask, think, plan, create, test, and share. Our young innovators are bringing their ideas to life using an amazing lineup of hands-on tools, including building blocks, MaKey MaKey circuits, Bee Bots, and the creative freedom of the Makerspace. Watching their curiosity transform into real-world problem-solving is the highlight of our week.
