Rain chances will spread into the area today into tonight, south to north. The best chances will be across the far south near the Nebraska border. Rain will end Thursday as a cold front moves through the area. Expect windy conditions Thursday afternoon behind the front, with gusts up to 50 mph possible on much of the SD Plains, especially NW SD. Winds will diminish Thursday night, as clear skies and light winds allow temps to drop into 20s and 30s, supporting widespread frost. Expect much warmer weather this weekend, with highs in the 70s. A few low 80s will be possible on the SD Plains Saturday.
