🎃 Painting, markers, stickers, and temporary tattoos are a few fun, alternative ways young children can decorate pumpkins.

👻 Avoid costumes with long, trailing fabric that could create trip hazards.

🎃 If your trick-or-treater is wearing a mask, ensure the eye holes are large enough they can clearly see.

🔦 Don’t forget a flashlight (or glow sticks) to help light the way and keep your trick-or-treater visible to others out and about.

Huge thank you to our friends at Northern Illinois Fire Sprinkler Advisory Board (NIFSAB) for the use of their sprinkler demo trailer! At our Open House this past Saturday, Inspector Hutchison had the opportunity to show our visitors first-hand the impact of home fire sprinklers.

Resources like this from partners like NIFSAB are valuable tools to help inform the public and make an impact in our communities.
