Libby Password Required Starting October 5

The first time you borrow an item or place a hold on or after October 5, Libby will ask you to enter your library card barcode number and password. Once you sign in, Libby will remember your information, so you shouldn’t need to enter your password again unless you manually log out of the app.

What is my PIN? / I forgot my PIN.

Libby uses the term “PIN,” but it means your library account password. The same password you use to log in to the library catalog and your library account.

Forgot your password? You can reset it online by clicking “My Account” or by contacting the library for assistance.

🦖 A little dinosaur is missing his person! 🦖

This well-loved dinosaur buddy was left behind at the Winnetka Library, and we’re pretty sure someone is missing their favorite lovey. 💚

But don’t worry, he’s been having a dino-mite time while he waits to be picked up! He’s been exploring the library, making new friends, and even got his very own library card.

If he looks familiar, please stop by the Winnetka Library to bring him home!

The Winnetka Caucus Council’s Annual Village-Wide Survey Is Now Open Through August 14.

Winnetka Residents:
If you live in the Village of Winnetka, please complete the survey in its entirety, as all questions apply to you.

Kenilworth and Northfield Residents:
This survey also includes questions that are relevant to your community.

For Question 1, select Kenilworth or Northfield from the district dropdown (listed after Winnetka's 16 districts). This tells the survey you're not a Village of Winnetka resident, so the remaining Village Council, School District, and Park District sections won't apply to you.

Join us for a special virtual presentation exploring the Barack Obama Presidential Library and Obama Presidential Center.

Our presenters, Kenvi Phillips, inaugural director of the Barack Obama Presidential Library, and Tina Tchen, Executive Vice President of Programs for the Obama Foundation, will discuss the first digital Presidential Library and the Obama Presidential Center as a vibrant community hub, economic anchor, and beacon of democracy. This program offers a unique opportunity to learn how presidential history is preserved, accessed, and shared, and how these records deepen our understanding of recent history and democratic values.

The Barack Obama Presidential Center is a museum, library, and educational campus dedicated to President Barack Obama's legacy. Located in Jackson Park on Chicago’s South Side, the Center will feature community gathering spaces, a Chicago Public Library branch, and the Obama Foundation's headquarters. The Center opens in June 2026. The National Archives and Records Administration operates the Barack Obama Presidential Library, the Agency's first fully digital Presidential Library, a partner of the Obama Presidential Center.
