The argument that it saves addicts from some other more addictive / dangerous op**te has more holes in it than Swiss cheese. You’re only swapping one form for another.
Time for a statewide kratom ban.

🏆 Three standout leaders received the Friends of Transportation Awards at yesterday’s Commission meeting, presented by MDOT.

These individuals have been instrumental in bringing our state’s infrastructure challenges to the forefront of legislative discussions. MDOT and the State of MS have taken major strides regarding infrastructure in the last several years, and these accomplishments are, in no small part, the result of countless hours of dedicated advocacy by these individuals. 🤝

Twenty-five years can pass, but some moments never become just history.
September 11, 2001, is one of those moments.
We remember where we were. We remember the fear and confusion. We remember watching a nation grieve. But we also remember Americans coming together—neighbors helping neighbors, strangers helping strangers, and a country standing shoulder to shoulder.
The years have passed, and an entire generation has grown up knowing 9/11 primarily through history books and stories. It is our responsibility to make sure they understand what was lost and what was sacrificed.
We remember. We honor. We teach. We never forget. 🇺🇸

On a daily basis I am asked who are you supporting for this office next year and who are you supporting for that office. My response is, “At the moment, I’m keeping my powder dry til qualifying deadline has come and gone to see what the choices will be.”
I am not, however, keeping my powder dry when it comes to the Office of State Agriculture and Commerce Commissioner. I am fully endorsing and supporting current State Representative Vince Mangold from Lincoln Co., Ms! The attachment shares his announcement. I invite you to join me in supporting Vince in his campaign to continue to serve Mississippi on a much broader and effective scale. Good luck Gentleman!

As a new school year begins, I want to wish all the students, teachers, and staff an amazing year ahead.
To the students: Believe in yourselves, work hard, stay curious, and never stop striving to reach your goals. Make new friends, create great memories, and enjoy every opportunity to learn and grow.
To the teachers and staff: Thank you for the dedication, patience, and encouragement you give each day. May you continue to inspire young minds, build meaningful relationships, and make learning a positive and rewarding experience.

Well, it appears Region 2 of the Mississippi Forestry Commission has more big shoes to fill. Man! Hate to see these good ones retire, but I know we’re blessed with dedicated, hard working, conscientious men and women here in our great state. That’s what it takes to step up and fill these shoes.
Congratulations Louis Ray, and thank you, my friend, for your service to people of Mississippi and Region 2 for two and a half decades. God bless you in your future endeavors!
