We would like to clarify some information regarding public access to our school facilities. The only building currently open for public viewing is the former weight room building, which is separate from our main school building. This space is not occupied or accessed by students at any time.
Individuals interested in submitting a bid must enter through the main office. Our existing security procedures remain in place. All visitors must use the buzzer system to request entry, just as they have in the past. Once admitted, their access is restricted to the office area. They are not permitted to enter the hallways, classrooms, or any other areas of the school.
We take the safety and security of our students and staff very seriously, and these procedures have not changed.
We recognize that there are frustrations with the recent change to our morning drop-off procedures. However, we want to be clear that the two situations are very different and involve separate safety considerations. Allowing individuals with controlled access to the office for school business does not mean they have access to areas where students are present.
While we understand that people may disagree with the new drop-off expectations, we ask that the situation be considered in the context of the safety procedures we have established for our entire school. Our goal is not to create an inconvenience for families but to maintain a safe, secure, and consistent environment for all students and staff.
