Saturday Trick or Treating
LET'S GET STARTED EARLY!
Trunk or Treat and anyone who is able, let's start trick or treating at 3:00 PM instead of 4:00.
Also, stay tuned for information on a send-off about 4:30 Saturday for the Winter Warrior Volleyball Team!
If you are welcoming trick or treaters, please turn on your porch light.

Hazel Street is being paved today before the next rains!
This project was funded by a Local Roads Improvement Program grant.

Tentatively, paving of Hazel Street between Main and Arntz is set for Tuesday (October 27th), weather permitting. The road will again be closed during the paving process.

Work has begun this morning on Hazel Street between Main and Arntz.
This project is funded by a Local Roads Improvement Program Grant.

We just received word that work can begin on Hazel Street between Main and Arntz (the area by the Winter Cooperative parking lot) TOMORROW! We realize this is short notice, but we would love to get this road resurfaced before winter.
Tomorrow crews will be pulverizing the remaining asphalt and grading. Please give the crew space and consider parking on Main Street if visiting the Co-op or Village Hall.

Trick or Treating in the Village of Winter will be on Halloween, Saturday, 31 October. The school flyer is for the school parade on Friday (as there is of course no school on Saturday the 31st).
The Winter Fire Department will also host Trunk or Treat at their building 4-6 pm on the 31st.
Cannot wait to see all of the costumes!

Please note that the Village of Winter clerk will be out of the office Wednesday - Friday for personal reasons. Please use the drop box at the office to drop off water bills or other items. Please call Lance at 715-609-9876 with any public works concerns.

Update: Jean will be in the office Wednesday until about 2 pm if anyone needs anything.

Reminder that the September monthly meeting for the Village of Winter is on Tuesday (September 8th) at 5 pm instead of the normal Wednesday.
The agenda includes discussion and opening bids for Hazel Street (Main to Arntz) resurfacing and Mr. Olson from the Winter School District to provide information and answer questions.
All are welcome to attend the regular board meetings.

Please note that the September monthly meeting for the Village of Winter will be held on TUESDAY, 08 September 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The meeting being held on a Tuesday is due to a conflict and is only for this month.
Also note that Mr. Craig Olson, superintendent of the Winter School District will be at the meeting and available to answer any questions regarding the state of the school district. He will give a short overview, answer any general questions and then move to the other room to continue conversations with anyone who has more quesions.
