Beginning September 28, 2026, behavioral health support will be available as part of the primary care experience at the Fort Yuma Health Care Center.

Integrating behavioral health services into primary care helps make care more connected, accessible, and focused on the whole person.

What does this mean for patients?

Patients may be offered the opportunity to meet with a behavioral health team member during or after a primary care visit for support with emotional well-being, stress, coping, life challenges, and overall health.

Behavioral health services are voluntary and will only be provided with the patient’s permission. Choosing not to participate will not affect primary care services.

For more information, please speak with your primary care team at the Fort Yuma Health Care Center.

We look forward to expanding access to behavioral health services and providing more coordinated, whole-person care for our community.

Twenty-five years ago, our nation was forever changed.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders who ran toward danger to save others.

In the days and weeks that followed, HHS joined the response, including the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service and personnel from the National Disaster Medical System and the National Pharmaceutical Stockpile, which would later become important parts of HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response.

We honor all who served, all who sacrificed, and all who still carry the wounds of that day.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸
