**SALARY RANGE:** $57,400 – $86,105
Starting salary depends on qualifications, certification, education, and experience.

**NOT BLET CERTIFIED YET?**
Don’t let that stop you from contacting us. The Winterville Police Department may hire qualified applicants and pay them while they attend Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) through our BLET Trainee Program. This allows qualified applicants to begin their law enforcement career without waiting until after completing BLET to secure employment.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
Applicants must meet the requirements established by the State of North Carolina for employment and certification as a law enforcement officer. They must also successfully complete the Town and Police Department’s hiring process, which includes a background investigation and other required pre-employment screenings.
