Great news!

Lincoln County's broadband project in partnership with Fidium Fiber and Maine Connectivity Authority is officially award winning!

Light Reading, a telecommunications trade publication has awarded our project the Outstanding Use Case Award for Bridging the Digital Divide.

This is an annual award presented to the company or institution presenting the best example of how it is successfully working to broaden access and reduce the barriers to affordable Internet connectivity for underserved communities.

The finalists included projects from around the country and a couple international entries that included rural broadband deployments, subsidy or affordability programs, digital literacy initiatives or public-private partnerships aimed at closing the connectivity gap.

This is a terrific recognition for the many folks that spent months and years committed to this project as well a testimony to importance of bridging the digital divide!

Congratulations to everyone that made this a reality!
