We took part in a training today with Black Hills Life Flight 7 Hot Springs, put together by our Mellette County Emergency Manager- Cassie Beckwith.
We were given the opportunity to see their helicopter in person and go through the proper procedures on calling for life light, landing, and patient loading.

We would love to see more EMTs serving our communities!

There are several EMT classes being offered, including this one, and there’s never been a better time to get started. These are the same instructors Shayna learned from as she began her EMS journey. If you have any questions about the class, the certification process, or what it’s like to serve as an EMT, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help however we can.

Every EMT started by taking that first step. The next person to answer the call could be you.

🚑 Your community needs you. Your neighbors are worth it. ❤️

Have you considered becoming an EMT? Now is the time!

Non stop the past couple of days. 🔥
Wednesday, 5:30 pm mutual aid was requested to Upper Cut Meat by Rosebud. We were turned around just to get a call at 7 pm for the Bauman fire in Jackson County.
Some of the crew didn’t roll back in until 2 am. 😴

Thursday morning, 9 am, right back out the door! Rosebud BIA asked for mutual aid at the Grass Mountain fire. Along with sending our tanker back to the Bauman fire…

Little sleep, long hours, no questions asked…
This is the kind of crew that shows up every single time, and we couldn’t be more thankful for their dedication to helping communities. ❤️
