Yesterday, I attended the 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to remember the 22 lives lost in our county, honor the first responders, and the families whose lives were forever changed on this day 25 years ago.

Today, we remember the innocent lives taken on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who took action on that day. May we never forget.

My prayers are with the family who lost their daughter and with young adult who is in the hospital. As a community, let us all keep their love ones in our prayers.

We all have to come together as a community to support the grieving family, the survivor and each other. Check in with your family, friends, neighbors, and loved ones.

Today Richard H. Stuart & I asked Governor of Virginia to call a Special Session so the can act on the alarming groundwater report released last week. The report lays bare that our drinking water & the health of our Eastern aquifers are under critical threat. We need to act now. At the same time, unchecked data center growth and the pending Dominion-NextEra merger only add to the urgency of protecting Virginia families now, not next year.
