πŸš’ MONITOR COMMUNITY - YOUR VOICE MATTERS - JULY 27 πŸš’
The Marion County Board of Commissioners is coming to Mt. Angel, and they want to hear from YOU.

A second public hearing on placing the Mt. Angel-Monitor Fire District consolidation on the November ballot will be held:
πŸ“… Monday, July 27
πŸ•• Beginning no earlier than 6:00 p.m.
πŸ“ Mt. Angel Fire Station, 300 Monroe St., Mt. Angel

The commissioners chose to hold this hearing in Mt. Angel, in the evening, specifically so more community members from both districts can attend and testify. This is your opportunity to speak directly to the people who will decide whether this measure goes to voters in November.

Whether you live in the Monitor or Mt Angel district, your testimony matters. Come share your thoughts, ask questions, and be part of shaping the future of fire and emergency services in our communities.

We hope to see a full house. Bring a neighbor!

After putting in a full day at their regular jobs, your Monitor and Mt Angel volunteer firefighters spent the evening training until after dark in realistic, hands-on emergency scenarios.

A huge thank you to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm and Paul Iverson for providing the location and setting up several lifelike farm trauma training scenarios. These realistic exercises gave our volunteers valuable experience and helped strengthen the skills they'll rely on when responding to future farm-related emergencies.

We are proud of the dedication our volunteers continue to showβ€”serving our community doesn't end when their workday does.

Last night, Monitor Fire District volunteers responded to the City of Molalla to assist with a 4-alarm barn fire.

Engine 985, Tender 989, Tender 998, and C981 were dispatched to provide mutual aid support. Our crews remained on scene until nearly 1:00 a.m., working alongside neighboring agencies to help bring the incident under control.

We are proud of the dedication and commitment shown by our volunteers, who answered the call to assist a neighboring community when additional resources were needed.

Thank you to all responding agencies for their teamwork and cooperation throughout this incident.

Good evening, Monitor community members.
Monitor Fire District will be conducting a live burn training exercise this evening on South Monte Cristo Road near the intersection of South Needy Road.
The large amount of smoke visible in the area will be the result of this controlled training operation conducted by Monitor Fire District, in partnership with Mount Angel Fire District, Silverton Fire District, Hubbard Fire District, and other community partners.
If you plan to travel through this area during the exercise, please use caution, as fire apparatus and firefighter personnel will be operating on or near the roadway.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we conduct this important training.
