Don't forget this a great family-friendly volunteer activity to do this Saturday!

The forecast for this Saturday is mostly sunny - join us for the rescheduled Carver Lake Park Cleanup. Come by when you can between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. at the park pavilion. A Parks and Recreation staff person will assign you a section of the park and provide a garbage bag. Woodbury Thrives will provide the hot beverages and treats.

This is a great family or group activity or go it alone and join others in the effort. You'll be walking all over the park so wear shoes you can hike around in. Work gloves are recommended. And, dress appropriately for the weather - this event is rain or shine.

Registration not required but requested so we know how much hot beverages and treats to bring. Contact Simi Patnaik, Thrives Program Manager, if you have questions at [email protected].

🌱 Get outside and give back to Woodbury today!

Join the City of Woodbury’s Green Talks: Native Seed Collection Event today, September 30, from 4–6 p.m. at Glacial Valley Park.

This free, hands-on event is a chance to learn how to identify native plants, properly collect seeds and support restoration efforts right here in our local communities. All seeds collected will be used to help restore native plant habitat.

At the Woodbury Community Foundation, environmental stewardship is one of the areas we believe contributes to a vibrant, healthy community. Our Woodbury Environment Fund was created to support efforts that preserve and enhance Woodbury’s natural environment for current and future generations.

Events like this are a great reminder that protecting our environment can start with something as simple as showing up, learning and lending a hand.

join us Tuesday for Building a Healthier Woodbury: Beyond Healthcare.
On Tuesday, September 29, WREC and Woodbury Thrives will host a community conversation at Central Park Amphitheater exploring how factors such as housing, transportation, poverty and belonging affect health and well-being. The Resource Fair begins at 5:45 p.m., followed by the panel discussion at 6:15 p.m.

Our panelists will share what we’re learning in Woodbury and Washington County, discuss challenges that can be easy to overlook in suburban communities, and explore ways residents, local government, businesses and community organizations can help build a healthier, more connected community. There will also be time for community feedback and Q&A.

We hope to see you at one or both events this week!
