After admitted criminal fraudster Martino Cartier was featured on a national television show for his extreme unprofessionalism, some said he learned from the experience and changed his ways.

Then he got fired from the Home Shopping Network for alleged "unwanted physical contact with multiple team members." This was only three (3) years ago.

Following a bombshell report from the New Jersey Globe, there is growing scrutiny surrounding Republican Martino Cartier's finances – particularly those of his charity.

Cartier responded to the report by highlighting his charity's board of directors; what he didn't mention is that one of his handpicked board members was a Florida man who served prison time for money laundering.

You read that correctly: an admitted criminal fraudster appointed a convicted money launderer to the board of a charity organization that has over $1.3 million in its account (as of its most recent filing).

That board member’s name is John Levitan. According to a news report, Levitan "said he could hide $1 million in drug money as a capital investment in the pawn shops." Levitan was also named in a lawsuit alleging he was a "leader" in a network that sold more than $230 million in counterfeit HIV drugs, and has been accused of being a partner in a defunct landfill site that was tainting Florida waterways with “high levels of heavy metals including arsenic.”

So why did Martino Cartier put a convicted money launderer on his charity's board? He should not only answer this question, he should open up his organization's books completely in response to the real and very serious questions surrounding his finances.

Admitted criminal fraudster Martino Cartier shared a very revealing story on his podcast about the time he used semantic tricks to lie to federal law enforcement.

It’s a very insightful look into the thought process behind his lying and how he rationalizes his deception.

Don’t take our word for it, watch for yourself as Cartier describes lying to “the feds,” panicking, and then using his mother to hide evidence.

Jefferson, Weng & Gattinelli for Gloucester County Commissioner and our Democratic Commissioners were proud to support our local business community last week at the Annual Best Of Gloucester County Awards.

For years, the Best Of Awards have engaged residents to spotlight and celebrate , their owners, and their employees. The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce in particular has done an amazing job helping with these efforts.

Supporting the Best Of Awards should be an obvious area of agreement between Democrats and Republicans, but somehow that’s not the case.

Gloucester County Republicans Falcone, McCormick & Martino Cartier recently denigrated these awards publicly, saying they refuse to participate because the awards “are all fake.” It’s hard to believe, but watch the footage for yourself.

Commissioners should be congratulating local businesses for their hard work and success, not telling them that their Best Of Awards are “fake.” Our local business community deserves far better than this kind of disrespect.
