CLIMB Concerned Long Island Mountain Bicyclists (CLIMB) Dedicated to the growth and enjoyment of mountain bicycling and responsible trail use on Long Island

With over 500 members CLIMB is one of the largest and most active regional Mountain Biking clubs in the US. Based on Long Island our membership represents all levels of riders from beginners to experts. Our common passion for trail riding and stewardship brings us together as a collective voice. CLIMB teaches volunteers how to design, build and maintain sustainable recreational mountain bicycle trails. Despite shrinking municipal resources, our volunteer work force can enhance outdoor recreational opportunities in public parks.

Come join us at our annual mountain bike festival at Cathedral Pines Park on October 17 & 18. Admission is free thanks to our sponsor: Riverhead Bay Suburu. There will be food trucks, a vendor village, group rides and 12 miles of awesome mountain bike trails plus over 60 miles of additional mountain bike trails nearby. There will be raffles and festival t shirts available. The event is rain or shine although heavy rain may cancel rides depending on conditions. Hope to see you there!

Hand clippers fit in your pack and do an amazing job trimming back short sections of overgrown trails. This section only took 10 minutes. If everyone does a little no one has to do a lot. 🙏

Thanks to our trail stewards who are still out there cutting fallen trees blocking our trails. It might take a few more weeks to get every trail cleared but you can help by reporting any blockages you find on trailforks and if you can cut or move small trees and branches off the trails that would be great. Thanks!

After a storm use the flick stick method to help clear the trails. Hike the trail with a stick and flick the sticks off the trail. This method saves your back because you don’t have to bend down. Try it out next time there’s a storm and help us keep our trails in great shape. Thanks!
