This Wednesday, March 25 at 7:30 PM, the Woodland Hills Homeowners Organization (WHHO) is hosting a Los Angeles City Council District 3 candidate forum on Zoom. It’s a great opportunity to hear directly from the people who want to represent our community.

This seat impacts issues that affect us every day, including public safety, development, traffic, homelessness, local services, and the future of our neighborhoods. Decisions made by this office shape what happens right here at home. That is why it is so important to listen, ask questions, and be informed before voting.

The qualified candidates participating include:
Christopher Robert “C.R.” Celona, tech entrepreneur
Timothy K. Gaspar, Valley businessman
Barri Worth Girvan, Valley community advocate

Each candidate will share their positions on the issues that matter most to Woodland Hills and the surrounding communities. There will also be an opportunity for audience questions, so your voice can be part of the conversation.

If you care about what is happening locally, this is a great opportunity to learn more and make your vote count. Even just tuning in helps strengthen community engagement.

This forum is for Los Angeles City Council District 3, currently held by Councilman Bob Blumenfield. This election will help determine who represents our area moving forward.

If you live in Woodland Hills or our neighboring communities, this is a must watch.

Our December WHHO meeting featured LAPD Topanga Division Captain Rodolfo Lopez and Senior Lead Officer Brittney Gutierrez, who shared important updates on crime trends, community safety, and whether LAPD has the resources to support our growing area.

They also discussed the homelessness challenges affecting Woodland Hills and how officers are working to respond. These conversations raise urgent questions for all of us. Are our city leaders doing enough to keep the community safe? Are we prepared for emergencies like wildfires? How will upcoming projects, including the Woodland Hills Country Club development, impact our neighborhoods?

This is a full and informative meeting with details every resident should hear.

Please take the time to watch and share your thoughts. Your feedback matters. If you did not hear a question you wanted answered, let us know and we will work to get the information you need.
