🎉 Celebrating Achievement & Growth!

Last Friday, we celebrated our 4th–6th grade students during our Awards Assemblies! We recognized students who met or exceeded the standard on the SBAC in Reading, Math, and Science, our Dual Immersion students who took the Spanish assessment, and students who made significant growth from Standard Not Met to Standard Nearly Met. 🌟

We are so proud of our Pumas and their hard work, determination, and growth! 💙

Growing a Greener Future at Prairie! 🌳

Today, our Prairie families came together for a special community tree planting event! With the guidance of the Woodland Tree Foundation, families helped plant the remaining 35 trees from our Cool Schools Yolo grant.

These trees will provide shade, beauty, and a lasting legacy for our school community. What we planted today will be enjoyed by generations of Prairie students and families to come. 💚

Thank you to everyone who came out to dig, plant, and help make our campus even more special!

Tonight was a fiesta at Prairie! 🎉🇲🇽

Our PTA Family Lotería Night was full of laughter, community, and delicious food as we celebrated in the spirit of Mexican Independence Day! Families enjoyed pozole, Mexican street corn, shaved ice, aguas frescas, and, of course, lots of fun playing Lotería together. ❤️💚🤍

Thank you to our amazing PTA and all of our families who came out to celebrate with us. ¡Viva México! 🇲🇽🎉

September is Attendance Awareness Month!

Every school day matters. When students attend school regularly, they have more opportunities to learn, build relationships, participate in their school communities, and stay on track toward academic success.

Under the leadership of California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, the CDE is working alongside school districts to promote meaningful student and parent engagement, strengthen attendance strategies, and help every student attend consistently.

Let’s work together to make every school day count. When students show up, they have more opportunities to thrive! 🏫
