Organized on June 1, 1931 The New York City Fire Department advances public safety through its fire prevention, investigation and education programs.
As first responders to fires, public safety and medical emergencies, disasters and terrorist acts, FDNY protects the lives and property of New York City residents and visitors. Rescue Company 4 has the primary job of assuring the safety of all firefighters in the borough of Queens and if needed any other borough. The timely delivery of these services enables the FDNY to make significant contributions to the safety of New York City and homeland security efforts.

This is from a good friend of Rescue 4 Liz Marianne May. Some of you may not know that the FDNY Pipes and Drums Band has been playing a Sunset tribute at the WTC to all of the fallen for quite a few years now. Its getting bigger and bigger as the years go by. Its pretty special and we at Rescue 4 couldnt be more proud.
