🇺🇸 Our 2026 Women Veterans Symposium is in full swing! 🇺🇸
We’re officially halfway through an incredible day of connection, conversation, learning, and empowerment at the McHenry County Women Veterans Symposium!
It has been amazing to see so many women veterans and community partners come together under one roof. Today is about more than presentations—it’s about building connections, sharing experiences, creating resources, and strengthening the community of women who served.
A huge thank you to our speakers, partners, volunteers, staff, and everyone who joined us today. We still have plenty more ahead this afternoon!
📸 Here are a few photos from the first half of today’s event.

🇺🇸 A Great Day of Outreach at McHenry County College!

The Veterans Assistance Commission of McHenry County had a very successful day at today’s McHenry County College Job Fair!

Our Outreach Department had the opportunity to connect with veterans, military families, job seekers, employers, and members of our community while sharing information about the many services and resources available through the VAC.

Events like this are about more than handing out information—they’re about making connections, building relationships, and making sure our veterans and their families know that help and support are right here in McHenry County.

A huge thank you to McHenry County College for hosting today’s event and to everyone who stopped by the VAC table to talk with us.

We’re proud to serve those who served. 🇺🇸

🍎 VAC Out in the Community! 🇺🇸

This past weekend, staff from the Veterans Assistance Commission of McHenry County had a great time attending the Johnny Appleseed Festival in Crystal Lake!

We truly enjoyed meeting Veterans and families from throughout our community, having some great conversations, and sharing information about the services and resources available through the VAC.

Events like this give us another opportunity to connect directly with the people we serve and make sure our Veterans know that we are here for them.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, or simply share a story with our team. We look forward to seeing you at the next community event!

⛳ A Great Day on the Course! 🇺🇸

Last week, the Veterans Assistance Commission of McHenry County had a great time attending and supporting the MCL Golf Outing!

It was a fantastic day filled with camaraderie, plenty of laughs, a little friendly competition, and—most importantly—an opportunity to come together in support of our Veteran community.

Events like these are about more than golf. They strengthen the connections between Veterans, families, local organizations, and community members who continue to show up for those who served.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who organized the outing, sponsored the event, volunteered, participated, and helped make the day a success.

We were proud to be part of it and are already looking forward to the next one!
