Wilkinson County Fire Services Wilkinson County Fire Services are comprised of Woodville, Centreville, and Buffalo Fire Departments.

We cover 688 square miles, and provide fire services to nearly 9,000 people.

October 02, 2026 at 1:00pm the Wilkinson County School District homecoming parade will begin at the corner of Main and Sligo Street and travel the red highlighted path back to the corner of Main and Sligo Street. During the parade, we ask that all attendees standing along side the street do not approach or impede moving vehicles. The bottom red highlighted street (Water Street) will be for thru traffic and emergency vehicles only. NO PARKING WILL BE ALLOWED. Any vehicles parked on Water Street will be towed at owner’s expense.

🔥 WILDFIRE WARNING: HIGH RISK on Monday, MS!

We are urging all Mississippians to voluntarily stop all plans of outdoor burning on Monday due to conditions that are highly favorable for rapid wildfire spread. Low humidity and high winds are the concern.

What to AVOID on Monday:
❌ Debris Burning
❌ Campfires, Bonfires, and Fire Pits
❌ Burning leaves or brush

9 out of 10 wildfires are caused by humans. Please do your part to protect our homes, forests, and firefighters. Wait until conditions improve.

Good morning Woodville-Wilkinson County, in preparation for tomorrow's Wilkinson County Homecoming Parade, we would like to inform all attendees that parking will be prohibited on Water Street, as it will function as an alternate traffic and emergency route. Any vehicles parked on Water Street will be towed at the owner's expense. Please use the available parking spaces located behind the Woodville Police Department.
