We will never forget.

Twenty-five years have passed, but September 11 is one of those days that never really feels like it was that long ago.

We can still remember the disbelief and the uncertainty as we watched our nation experience something none of us had ever seen before on the mainland of America. 🇺🇸 Most of all though, we remember the way Americans came together after the attack on our soil.

We remember the 2,977 innocent people who never made it home that day. We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMT’s, military members, and other first responders who ran toward danger while others ran away. We remember the families who said good-bye to their loved ones that seemingly ordinary morning, never to see them again. 🇺🇸

Today, let’s remember the lives lost. Let’s honor the hero’s who responded, and never take our freedom, our families, or the important people in our lives for granted.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember and will never forget. 🇺🇸

Let’s also remember paramedic Jeff Jones of the Woodward County EMS. It was one year ago today that he lost his life in a tragic accident while transporting a patient to Oklahoma City.

We'd like to take a quick minute and acknowledge all of the Volunteer Departments and firefighters from Woodward County and surrounding counties.

The last few weeks have been pretty busy and we've had to call out for assistance with many different incidents.

Volunteer firefighters are a major part of a successful response in rural areas. Most of these men/women are trying to balance jobs and family obligations while doing their best to serve their community.

Your hard work and dedication is noticed and much appreciated.

Also we want to thank everyone else in emergency services as well as a community that supports us beyond our needs. Thank you all.

P.S. It was great seeing everyone at National Night Out last night. We look forward to it every year. Thank you to Visit Woodward for putting on another great event.

Tomorrow is the one night where:
💦 Getting soaked is encouraged.
🌭 Hot dogs and popsicles are free.
🚒 Fire trucks become giant water blasters.
🚓 You get to meet the heroes who serve our community.
🎶 And the whole family has a blast!

Join us tomorrow for National Night Out 2026!

📅 Tuesday, August 4
🕔 5–7PM
📍 Crystal Beach Park

Don't forget your water blaster for the Water Parade at 6PM. Because if you stand along the route, you're probably going to get wet! 😄

Tag a friend or neighbor you'd bring with you, and we'll see you tomorrow!
