Committee and the many sponsors of the community-wide celebration.
Today, the exhibit “We all got history… Worcester at 300” opens in the Booth Gallery of the Museum at 30 Elm Street. In 1984, Ellen Hazard, “the curator of the Hazard legacy, a family whose roots stretch back to 1800 and beyond,” reminded a TELEGRAM reporter that: “We all got history. Some of us just don’t know it. But it’s there. Just got to look for it.”
Inspired by Ms. Hazard, Worcester Historical Museum invites you that we all “Just got to look for it.”
Worcester Historical Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 4 PM. Its research library is available Wednesday through Saturday by appointment. Salisbury Mansion at 40 Highland Street shares the story of Worcester’s transition from an agricultural county seat to an industrial giant through the lives of the Salisburys on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 1 to 4PM.
“We all got history.” Come explore all that makes us Worcester. Be inspired to add your story. Be part of the next 300 years!
