Congratulations to our DAR Good Citizens Award recipients! The ceremony was held at The Oaks, with our guest speaker, Joseph M. Petty, Mayor of Worcester. Miss Sabrina Welch read her winning essay before the attendees. A reception was held after the ceremony, and our guests were able to explore our 1774 Chapter House.

Yesterday we participated in the Henry Knox & the Noble Train of Artillery 250th Anniversary commemoration. A reception at The Oaks preceded the event.

The City of Worcester has proclaimed January 31st, 2026 as General Henry Knox and the Noble Train of Artillery Day! 250 years ago the artillery was brought from Fort Ticonderoga through Central Massachusetts on its way to Dorchester Heights.
