Salisbury Mansion is Worcester's only historic house museum. Built in 1772, Salisbury Mansion was once home to one of Worcester County's wealthiest families.

It was built as a combination store and dwelling for merchant from Boston, Stephen Salisbury (1746-1829) and his wife, Elizabeth Tuckerman (1768-1851) of Boston, and their son Stephen Salisbury II. In 1981 a team of experts were assembled to begin the Mansion's restoration. In 1984, Salisbury Mansion opened as the city's first historic house museum, owned and operated by Worcester Historical Museu
