L1009 Strong — Supporting Deputy Chief Will Mosley

Friday night was a great example of what brotherhood, solidarity, and support truly looks like.

On behalf of Local 1009, we’re proud to recognize Worcester Fire Deputy Chief Will Mosley, honored for Black Excellence, and the incredible turnout of our members who came together to show their support.

The presence of so many Local 1009 members speaks volumes. We stand together, we support our own, and we’re proud to stand alongside Deputy Chief Mosley as he continues to serve the Worcester Fire Department and our community.

One department. One brotherhood. Local 1009 Strong. 👊🚒

Time to come together and help & support a Brother in need. Your love, support and donations will go a long way towards Mike's long road to recovery, God Bless

Mike Penney is 36 years old and has been a member of the Shrewsbury Firefighters Association, Local 4613, for over six and a half years. Due to a sudden and severe illness, Mike recently underwent surgery that resulted in the amputation of his leg.

Mike has dedicated his life to helping the public and is always the first to help his brother and sister firefighters and those he loves. Mike’s wife, Amy, and their three children, ages 1, 5, and 7, face a long road ahead as they support Mike through his recovery and adjust to their new normal.

Funds raised will help support Mike and his family throughout his ongoing rehabilitation and recovery.

Local 1009 members, had the pleasure to assist Councilman Ojeda with his District 4 street clean up over the weekend. Great opportunity to assist the Councilman, his team and the great citizens that gave their time to improve the City.
