ποΈπ¨ TASK FORCE HELPS PUT PEOPLE IN HOMES π€
With thousands of sorely-needed subsidized housing units across Massachusetts sitting vacant, WHA is proud to be part of the solution.
WHA was selected as one of just two housing authorities statewide to lead a Vacant Unit Task Force through an Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities grant-funded pilot program. That recognition speaks volumes about the expertise, leadership, and dedication of our staff. π
Working alongside other housing authorities, WHA is helping:
π οΈ Plan repairs
π· Coordinate contractors
π
Schedule work
β
Complete final inspections
This effort is powered by collaboration, especially between WHAβs Development and Maintenance teams, who are working hands-on to help get units move-in ready for families who need them most.
This program shows what can happen when housing authorities work together instead of in silos. Shared challenges. Shared mission. Shared success. β€οΈπ
