For generations, we've delivered safe, reliable water and wastewater services across the Lehigh Valley. While our work has always been essential, our name did not always make it clear what we do. That's why we're introducing LCA WaterWorks as the new public-facing identity of Lehigh County Authority. The organization, mission, and services remain the same, but our new identity makes it easier for customers and community members to recognize the people, information, and infrastructure they rely on every day.

Today's announcement comes on Imagine a Day Without Water, a national day of awareness about the critical role water infrastructure plays in our communities. It also coincides with the closing of $15.44 million in PENNVEST funding, including an $8.2 million grant, to support the next phase of lead service line replacement in the City of Allentown and help protect public health for generations to come.

You’ll begin seeing the LCA WaterWorks name and logo on our website, social media channels, vehicles, signs, uniforms, and other public-facing materials over time. What won't change is our commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and reliable water and wastewater services every day.

New name. Same mission.

Who Makes the Water That Makes the B**r?

We're kicking off Season 2 of Authorities on Air with a special two-part series from America's oldest brewery!

We traveled to Pottsville, PA, to visit D.G. Yuengling & Son (Yuengling B**r) and talk with Jennifer Yuengling, Vice President of Operations, and Pat Caulfield, CEO of the Schuylkill County Municipal Authority (SCMA) & PMAA Vice President, about the longstanding relationship between these two organizations and their shared commitment to Schuylkill County.

In this series, we'll explore:
The nearly 200-year history of Yuengling and SCMA and how their relationship has evolved.
Why quality water is essential to making great b**r and how SCMA supports Yuengling's operations.
How investments in water and wastewater infrastructure help businesses expand, create jobs, and strengthen local economies.
The importance of community involvement, strong relationships, and planning for the future.

Along the way, you'll hear some great stories, a little humor, and a behind-the-scenes look at the people and partnerships that help keep the water flowing and the b**r brewing!

Both episodes are available now!
