WORTHINGTON HRA SECTION 8 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER (HCV) WAITING LIST TO OPEN
The Worthington HRA will open its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) waiting list beginning October 1, 2026. The waiting list will remain open indefinitely, with no specified closing date, until further notice. Applications can be found at worthingtonhra.com, or in our office at 819 10th St, Worthington, MN 56187.
Completed applications will be accepted via email to [email protected], in person at 819 10th St, Worthington, MN 56187, or by mail to the same address.
Eligibility for the Housing Choice Voucher program is based on household income, family size, and other factors as determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Preference will be given, in the following order, to applicants who:
1. Are victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking, in accordance with the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA);
2. Reside within the Authority's jurisdiction — Cottonwood, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, and Redwood Counties, Minnesota; and
3. Are elderly, disabled, or have dependent children.
Placement on the waiting list does not guarantee the issuance of a Housing Choice Voucher. Applicants will be contacted in the order established by the Authority's waiting list policy as funding and vouchers become available.
