I’m pleased to share that the Town of Plainville has been awarded $25,000 through the MDI Capital program as part of the FY27 Community One Stop for Growth.
This funding will support the creation of professional branding and signage design templates for Plainville’s Town Center. As the area continues its transformation from an industrial village into an arts, literature, and cultural destination, a cohesive new brand will help strengthen its identity and can eventually be woven into public realm and wayfinding infrastructure.
Our office along with Senator Rausch, was happy to submit a letter of support for this application. Congratulations to the Town of Plainville on this award as it invests in the ongoing renaissance of its Town Center.

I’m pleased to share that the Town of Plainville has been awarded $43,905 through the Community Planning program as part of the FY27 Community One Stop for Growth.
This funding will allow Plainville to update its Residential Cluster Development bylaw and Subdivision Regulations in accordance with its 2024 Master Plan. The goal is to remove regulatory barriers to smaller open space developments, making it easier to create much-needed housing in a sustainable way that fits the town’s rural landscape.
Congratulations to the Town of Plainville on securing this award to support thoughtful, community-driven housing solutions.
