Today, on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we remember and honor all Americans who were prisoners of war or remain missing in action.

We honor their sacrifice, their courage and the enduring strength of their families.

For 79 years, the U.S. Air Force has served our country, with generations of Airmen answering the call. 🇺🇸

From those in the air to those working behind the scenes, Airmen have served in countless ways. We’re grateful for their service and sacrifice, and for the families who have supported them along the way.

Happy birthday, U.S. Air Force!
