Last Tuesday, we were proud to host the Accelerate NEA class in Wynne, a leadership program that includes our President & CEO, Bevin Hunter.

The day began with a welcome from Wynne City Hall Mayor Jennifer Hobbs, followed by an engaging industry panel featuring Roger Gilmore of Ridgefield Rice, Randy Henderson, Chair of the Arkansas State Board of Education, Adam O’Neal, Chancellor of University of Arkansas-East Arkansas Community College, and Shelli Wilson, President and CLO of NEA First Financial Bank.

Participants also heard from Arkansas Highway Commissioner Jerry Halsey, who shared insights on highway funding and transportation projects impacting Northeast Arkansas. The day concluded with a tour of Matthews Ridgeview Farms, where the class learned more about the sweet potato industry and its importance to our region.

A special thank you to Andrea Allen, Executive Director of the Delta Center For Economic Development, for coordinating a day in Wynne. We also appreciate UA-EACC for providing transportation to the field experience, City Drip Coffee for keeping everyone caffeinated, Bentley's Heavenly Sweets for the desserts, and Tomahawk Grill for breakfast and lunch.

Finally, thank you to Avery Honey, Matthews Ridgeview Farms, Cache River Rice, and UA-EACC for providing items for the gift bags!
