This week at City Council, the Urban Forestry & Beautification Commission had the pleasure of presenting Beautification Awards to these wonderful residents. They were recognized for their outstanding contributions in the following categories:

The City of Wyoming is seeking a reliable and self motivated individual for the position of Part Time Water Meter Reader in the Water Works Department. This position is responsible for accurately reading and recording water consumption for residential and commercial customers. This position plays a vital role in ensuring precise billing, supporting customer service, and maintaining the reliability of the City’s water system. Work is performed outdoors and requires consistent movement through varying terrains and weather conditions. Meter reading takes place monthly. As approved, meter readers set their own schedules so that meter readings are completed by the 10th of each month – typically requires 10-15 hours per month.

Our local Homecoming Parade is happening this Friday, October 16th. The floats will begin to lineup at 5:00pm on Worthington Avenue.

The parade begins at 6:00pm and will go North on Springfield Pike, East on Chestnut, South on Burns and ending at the front of the High School.

Springfield Pike will be closed between Worthington and Chestnut from 6:00-6:30pm.

Traffic will be heavy in all the surrounding streets during this time. Please plan accordingly.

We will have a DJ playing music before and after the parade, along with face painters and yard games for the kids to enjoy. Stop by one of our local businesses to grab food and a DORA drink, and come celebrate one of Wyoming’s wonderful traditions.
