We wrapped up our first East Coast Selection this week, and we were thrilled to welcome brewers from across the region to evaluate 2026 crop year varieties at .

Our brewing partners had the opportunity to rub, smell and select a wide range of hop brands including Citra®, Simcoe®, Mosaic®, and more.

And that's a wrap on Harvest 2026!

Another hop harvest complete after many long, hard days and nights. A huge tip of our hat to all the farms and their crews of hardworking folks who saw it through from the first row to the last bale headed out the door.

Everyone whose hands were involved in getting these hops harvested deserves a well-earned rest after the harvest grind.

Yakima Hop Selection 2026 is wrapped up!

While a handful of hops are still making their way to YCH, our harvest events have officially come to a close. Thank you to the breweries, brewers, growers, and everyone else who joined us throughout the season!

Here is a quick recap of the many ways we've celebrated harvest season this year:

🍕 Stratafied with Indie Hops was filled with pizza and Strata® b**rs
🎵Night Beats Lounge Night at Single Hill Brewing Company was a night of music and friends
🏃Harvest Hustle 5K with Track Brewing Co. set the pace for the rest of harvest season
🥏Dank Disc had us huckin' plastic in the sunshine
🎤Underberg Karaoke at Single Hill Brewing Company had us singing our heart out 🎶
🧅Dank Dive at Bill's summoned dank b**rs, Columbus Cryo® and onions.
🌱 Loza Farms Harvest Party was a packed celebration of many years of dedication!
🍽️ FWD Dinner with was a magical evening under the bines and lights
🎉 Post Harvest Party at Bale Breaker Brewing Company gathered the community to toast to the people who make harvest possible
🐎 Hoppy Tonk wrapped up harvest wild, wild west style, complete with boots and brews
🚜 Daily farm tours to our local family hop farms helped connect brewers and growers
👏 Hop Selection gave us sticky hands and top-notch aromas filling the air

It brings us great joy to welcome our brewing partners and friends to the Yakima Valley for Hop Selection. We appreciate your partnership and support of family farms when you select your hops from YCH. Yakima Hop Selection 2026 is wrapped up!

This is Yakima, and you know what they say: there's no place like home.

It's our home and we are damn proud of it.

Yakima is the Hop Capital of the U.S. An oasis of hop production. Our valley produces about 75% of the hops in the nation. Each year, the Pacific Northwest becomes the destination of a sacred pilgrimage for brewers. Brewers from around the world make the journey to our little spot on the map, to rub the hops, smell the aroma, and take part in a tradition of connecting with the people, the farms, the land which produces one of the most critical brewing ingredients.

It's the smell of hops as you drive into town in September. It's the gritty resolve through the ups and downs of crop years. It's the absolutely fire tamales. It's persevering through droughts and wildfires and whatever else Mother Nature throws at us. It's breathtaking sunsets. Views of the Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier. A community whose connection to hops is woven through our very fabric as a town...as a valley. Hops are our livelihoods, our passion, our purpose. We grow hops for the world.

This is Yakima, and b**r is born here.

Harvest Hoppy Tonk was a boot-scootin' good time! We introduced our beloved Brits to some wild west pastime including mechanical bulls and cattle roping. Our very own Fort Road Rounders band made up of YCH Business Technology, Sales, Video Production Partners, and even a Grower (s/o to Keith from Double 'R' Hop Ranches) crooned country tunes on a flatbed trailer with tractor low beams for a spotlight. And most importantly we got to watch the sun set over a harvested Black Star Ranch, BSR hops field and celebrate alongside brewery partners, hop growers and colleagues...a fitting moment as we prepare to close out Harvest 2026.

Thank you Black Star for your hospitality to everyone who joined us for our first-ever Hoppy Tonk. Yee haw!

The harvest season is beginning to slow down, and last Friday we joined Breaker for their annual post-harvest party. It was a great evening filled with food, music, and fresh brews as we toasted to another successful harvest season. It was an opportunity to celebrate the community of people, especially the farmworkers, who make hop harvest possible each year!

Loza Farms Harvest Party 🍻 Cheers to 20 years Leon, Junior, and the entire Loza family! Loza Farms was founded in 2006 when Leon and Mimi purchased the hop farm they had worked on for years. What began as 56 acres of hops has grown into an incredible 20-year journey marked by grit, hard work and inspiration.

It was amazing to see the huge turn-out of brewing partners from all over the world gathered at Loza Farms to celebrate this milestone together.
