Last week the Fire Academy hosted the Suffolk County Crime Lab as well as their partners from the Suffolk County Police Department I.D. Section and Westchester County for a Buried Body and Blood Spatter Analysis course. Crime Scene Analysts and Detectives spent the week utilizing various areas of the Academy to conduct the course – including the trench simulator and basement training area. It was a certainly a great opportunity for the crime scene team members and a unique course offering for us here at the Fire Academy. It was our pleasure to assist, and we look forward to providing a useful space for future trainings.
