Yardley-Makefield Fire Company

Firefighters from the Yardley-Makefield Fire Company, Falls Township Fire Company, Morrisville Fire Company, Levittown Fire Company, and Penndel Fire Company responded to a working fire on Weber Drive in Lower Makefield Township yesterday evening.

Engine 80 participated in a 5th Grade wet down at Afton Elementary School.

Monday evening YMFC Officers along with Lower Makefield Township Police and Yardley Makefield Emergency Unit participated in a tabletop exercise at Station 80. Training together helps all emergency service personnel understand the roles and responsibilities of each other and improves smoothness of services when an emergency arrives. Tabletop exercises focus on potentially large scale incidents that could occur anywhere in our town. It was a great learning experience and look forward to the next one!!

FD was dispatched to Quarry Road in the area of Afton Elementary School for a large tree that took down primary wires and a pole blocking the roadway at the onset of severe storms this evening. FD also had to extinguish a brush fire down the road at Quarry Court.

YMFC members had a busy day on Thursday, 7 calls for service varying from dwelling fires, brush fires and fire alarms. Then in the evening members were out on the river practicing boat operations in preparation for our boating course later in the month.

The Yardley-Makefield Fire Company participated in Charlann Farms Touch a Truck event today.

Busy Friday for Yardley- Rescue 80 covered 14 House during a 2nd Alarm Fire in Bristol Borough. FD also responded to numerous local alarms in First Due including a CAT tracked skid steer which overturned into a creek off Quarry Road Lower Makefield Twp.
