Today, the Yardley Borough Police Department would like to wish a very Happy Father’s Day to all fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, guardians, and father figures throughout our community.

Fatherhood is a role defined not by titles, but by sacrifice, guidance, patience, and unconditional love. Fathers are often the quiet heroes who teach us right from wrong, encourage us when we stumble, and stand beside us through life’s greatest challenges and triumphs.

We would also like to recognize the fathers who wear a badge. Law enforcement officers often miss holidays, family dinners, sporting events, and special moments while serving and protecting others. Their commitment to both their families and their communities is a testament to their character and dedication.

Today, we celebrate all fathers who lead by example, protect those they love, and help shape the next generation. Thank you for the lessons you teach, the sacrifices you make, and the love you give each and every day.

From all of us at the Yardley Borough Police Department, we wish you a safe, joyful, and memorable Father’s Day.

Today, Yardley Borough had the honor of coming together to recognize and celebrate Juneteenth.

A very special thank you to Ms. Shirly from Gather Place, who did an excellent job teaching, educating, and sharing the importance of Juneteenth with everyone in attendance.

Her presentation was meaningful, thoughtful, and deeply appreciated.

Juneteenth is not only a celebration of freedom, but also a time to reflect, learn, and better understand the history, strength, and contributions of the Black community. We are especially grateful for the opportunity to learn more about Black history right here within Yardley Borough and to recognize the stories that helped shape our community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this celebration so special. Events like this remind us that when we come together to listen, learn, and support one another, our community grows stronger.

Very nicely done, and thank you again to Ms. Shirly and Gather Place for such a heartfelt and important program.

One community. One Yardley. Proud to serve.

On this day 82 years ago, Allied Forces stormed the beaches of northern France in what would prove to be one of the most pivotal battles of WWII. Today, we honor the bravery, sacrifice, and legacy of the Greatest Generation. -day

Paul Miller’s Law takes effect today for all motorists in Pennsylvania.

The new law makes it illegal to use a handheld cell phone or other mobile device while driving — even when stopped at a red light or in traffic. Officers may stop drivers solely for this violation.

The law is named in memory of Paul Miller, who was killed in 2010 by a distracted driver reaching for a phone. Its purpose is simple: save lives and prevent needless tragedies caused by distracted driving.

Put the phone down. Keep your eyes on the road. Arrive safely.

Yardley Borough Police Department at Pride in Buttonwood Park

Today was an incredible day at Buttonwood Park as our community came together to celebrate Pride, unity, acceptance, and respect for one another.

Chief Golden and members of the Yardley Borough Police Department were proud to attend and take part in such a positive and welcoming event. We were also joined by Mayor Caroline Thompson and Councilman David Appelbaum , who came out in support of our residents and the spirit of community that makes Yardley such a special place.

Events like today remind us that public safety is built on trust, connection, and showing up for every member of our community. We are proud to stand with our residents, celebrate with them, and continue our commitment to serving everyone with dignity, fairness, and respect.

A sincere thank you to everyone who organized, supported, and attended today’s Pride event. The smiles, conversations, and sense of togetherness made it a truly meaningful day.

One community. One Yardley. Proud to serve.
