☕ A wonderful pick-me-up this morning!

An anonymous donor generously treated the Yoakum Police Department to cold coffee from Pour Decisions, a local coffee company!

Thank you to our thoughtful donor and Pour Decisions for brightening our morning and keeping us fueled! We truly appreciate the kindness and support of our community. 💙🚔

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

The Yoakum Police Department has been notified that several people in our community have received text messages from someone claiming to be Father Matthew H. Huehlefeld of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yoakum. The messages ask for money or gift cards.

These messages are a scam. St. Joseph Catholic Church has contacted our department and reported the messages as well.

Please do not send money, purchase gift cards, or reply to these texts. If you receive a request that appears to come from someone you know, verify it by contacting them through a phone number you already trust.

Please share this warning with friends and family.

👮‍♂️🍀 A Great Visit with Yoakum Outsiders 4-H!

Yesterday evening, the Yoakum Police Department had the privilege of hosting the Yoakum Outsiders 4-H Club!

The group toured the police department, got a behind-the-scenes look at what we do, and had the opportunity to meet a few of our officers and dispatchers.

Thank you, Yoakum Outsiders 4-H, for spending the evening with us! We truly enjoyed your visit and always appreciate the opportunity to connect with the young people in our community.

We hope you enjoyed the visit as much as we did! 💙
