To the Dads of Kids with Paws: You may not share their DNA. But you share their early mornings, their favorite chair, their walks, their worries, and their happiest moments. You know every quirk, every routine, and exactly where they like to be scratched. And to them, you're not a pet owner. You're Dad. ❤️🐾
Happy Father's Day to the Dads who open their hearts to rescued animals, make room for one more, and are loved beyond measure in return. 💙

The clock is ticking on animal protection legislation in Pennsylvania.
HB 994, sponsored by Rep. Leanne Krueger, would crack down on wildlife trafficking by prohibiting the sale of products made from some of the world's most imperiled species. The bill passed the House with bipartisan support more than a year ago. It is still waiting for action in the Senate. Pennsylvania should not be a marketplace for wildlife trafficking. It's time to get this bill to the Governor's desk. Let your state senator know you want their support!

Animal protection voters live in every district in Pennsylvania. They come from every background and every political party, but they share one belief: cruelty should not be protected by politics. Humane PA is here to make sure lawmakers understand that animal protection is a bipartisan voting issue, and voters are paying attention.

The primary is over, but the work for animals continues. Now is the time to remind candidates and your current elected officials that animal protection matters to you. Live pigeon shoots. Closing the Puppy Mill Pipeline. Wildlife trafficking. Declawing. Beagle protection. These issues are not fringe issues. They are voting issues that Pennsylvanians support. Humane PA will continue tracking where candidates and lawmakers stand, and we’ll keep working to elect leaders who will give animals a voice in Pennsylvania.

Heat kills—and animals are especially vulnerable. 🐾☀️
With temps rising across PA, remember:
🚫 Never leave pets in parked cars—even for a minute.
💧 Keep them hydrated.
🌡️ Walk them only during cooler times of day.
🔥 Hot pavement can burn paws.
If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them.
Let’s keep Pennsylvania’s animals safe this summer.

Tomorrow is Primary Day in Pennsylvania. If you care about animals, please make your voice heard at the polls. Ask candidates where they stand on ending live pigeon shoots, stopping puppy mill sales in pet stores, ending cat declawing, protecting wildlife, and passing the Beagle Bill. Animal protection is a voting issue. Vote tomorrow - and remind candidates that compassion matters in Pennsylvania politics.

More Pennsylvania legislators than ever are speaking publicly about animal protection and supporting humane legislation. That progress matters. But too many important bills are still stalled while animals continue to suffer. Ending live pigeon shoots. Stopping puppy mill sales in pet stores. Ending cat declawing. Protecting wildlife. Passing the Beagle Bill. Animal protection should not be this hard. The people who care about animals want action!
