🐶 Next stop: the governor’s desk! The Pennsylvania Senate has unanimously concurred on the Beagle Bill (SB 381), following unanimous passage in the House. In a divided political world, every legislator voted yes for these animals. Thank you to the lawmakers and advocates who helped bring this bill to the finish line. BREAKING! The Beagle Bill, SB 381, passed the PA House unanimously. It will protect dogs and cats used in experiments and provide adoption opportunities afterward, joining 17 other states and make PA the 13th state to end the sale of animal-tested cosmetics. Thank you to sponsors Senator Doug Mastriano and Senator Carolyn Comitta and the representatives who voted YES today! Next: Senate concurrence, then on to Governor Josh Shapiro for his signature.

🐾 WORLD ANIMAL DAY 🐾 Today we celebrate the animals who share our homes, communities, and world - and recommit to protecting them. Compassion isn’t enough. Animals need strong laws and lawmakers willing to pass them. From ending cruel live pigeon shoots to protecting dogs raised for research, stopping the puppy mill pipeline, ending declawing, and strengthening cruelty laws, there is work to do.
