The hallways at Hannah Penn school in York were once again filled with kids, parents and teachers Thursday afternoon, about two years after the school was closed.
Hannah Penn, which closed as a middle school in the summer of 2012, reopens next week as a K-8 building. School district officials said it was necessary to both accommodate students expected to return to the district because of the closing of New Hope Academy Charter School as well as to help relieve overcrowding in some other schools.
