On Oct 28 we'll honor Creative York Past President Kathy Butera, artist Ophelia Fifi Chambliss, downtown business Kimmans Co, educator Gregory Wimmer, and the following Big Idea nominees: Pos Bookstore Chess Club, SMALL STAR Art House, WeCo York PA Summer Series (c.c. David Smith), and the York County History Center Rebrand. The four honorees and one People's Choice Big Idea winner will receive a beautiful "trophy" by the incredible Rita Whitney Art! Rita is a local professional artist who is best known for her lighthearted scenes of downtown York. She has attended multiple residencies along the east coast, and was honored as the first Appell Fellow at Marketview Arts in 2012. She most recently opened Prime Art Supply Co. to better serve the growing arts community that is Downtown York. We can't think of a better artful trophy to commemorate the impact our honorees have had on our creative York! Please help us celebrate!
