What a wonderful afternoon at the Northeast Neighborhood Association Block Party at Goode School 🌟
It was great to see so many neighbors out enjoying good food, music, games, and that strong sense of community that makes our Northeast neighborhood special.
A highlight of the day was presenting a City proclamation to Darlene Leonard in recognition of her many years of dedicated service to the Northeast Neighborhood Association and our community. Darlene’s leadership, energy, and commitment have made a lasting impact, and it was an honor to celebrate her today.
Thank you to everyone who came out, and a big thank you to the Northeast Neighborhood Association for continuing to bring us together. Events like these remind us why we love calling York home.

From the City’s Family Day Celebration at Voni Grimes Gym, the energetic march down to WellSpan Park, and the fantastic Block Party at Union Lutheran — enjoyable!
Grateful to celebrate freedom, culture, and community with all of you.

It was a gorgeous morning, and it was well spent meeting with Mr Steven Martinez, Executive Director of the York County SPCA, getting a tour of the clinic and animal shelter. It was nice to hear more about the public private partnership.
Today, is free adoption Fridays - it was great to see a line forming 🐈 🐕 🐇

I spent some new free time this evening following up on traffic safety concerns in the Devers neighborhood.
It was great to connect with neighbors, hear positive feedback on recent updates, and discuss possible additional improvements. I’m committed to making our streets safer for everyone who lives, walks, and drives in the city.
If you have thoughts or issues you’d like me to look into, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’m always happy to listen and follow up.
Together, we’re making York safer.

Tonight, was the York City School District’s board meeting. It was an overflowing board room, where many people took to public comment to express support for Coach Russell Stoner on being reappointed to another year as head boys football coach. 2 items were pulled from the consent agenda, with an item unanimously not passing related to security fencing. The item involving the football coach, Daryl Kyle was approved by a 5-4 vote to take on the position for the 2026-2027 school year.
