Little Ari learned how to operate door latches and sneaked out for a walkabout in the woods. Sheriff's deputies, Rescue Squad members, the Lake Superior CART, and 911-Dispatchers acted quickly and found Ari 2200 feet from the Point Last Seen (PLS) in deep boreal forest. Utilizing human trackers, drones, neighborhood canvass, and good, solid investigative and land search skills, we were able to advance the line of sign from Ari's bare feet through difficult terrain to a point where we could hear him answering our calls above the chorus and wood frog noise. Tonight's photo shows Nick emerging from the treeline to a clearing with Ari safely in hand. Today was a very good day!
