βThe genesis of this bill came from three of my four boys being in Newport News public schools and seeing how great it was that they went to 100% free lunch,β Mullin told The Virginian-Pilot on Tuesday.
Virginia schools would provide free meals for all students under bill sponsored by 3 Hampton Roads lawmakers βFormer first lady Dorothy McAuliffe said, rather aptly, that a student canβt be hungry to learn if they still just hungry,β said Del. Mike Mullin.
