This Memorial Day weekend, the DAV Department of Virginia pauses to remember the heroes who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms we have today. As you gather with family and friends, we invite you to take a moment of silence, visit a memorial, or share the name of a fallen hero in the comments so we can remember them together.

We also salute the DAV Chapter 13 volunteer team — disabled American veterans who work tirelessly behind the scenes four times a week at no cost, delivering claims assistance, benefits guidance, and essential support services. Their dedication ensures that every veteran receives the advocacy and care they deserve.

🔔DAV Chapter 13 Memorial Day Closure Notice🔔

In observance of Memorial Day, DAV Chapter 13 will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, as we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day and keep our fallen heroes and their families in your thoughts.

Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
