Training Center Yorktown had the privilege of graduating 2 students from Electrician’s Mate A School, after completing the Agile “A” School Program. 💪
⚡️Both members completed the program in 4 weeks, vice the traditional 16 weeks normally required. Due to their unique qualifications, both members graduated as 2nd Class Petty Officers.💡🔌
EM2 Mason Bruns is a prior Army Reserve Signal Support Systems Specialist, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He will be returning to MAT Portsmouth.
EM2 Gregory Manns is a prior Army prior Power Production Specialist, and will be returning to MAT Seattle.
Congratulations to our newest EM2’s, and a huge THANK YOU to the EM School staff, whose hard work and dedication facilitated this successful delivery of this unique Agile training experience!! 👏👏

⚓️Congratulations to the graduates of EM “A” School Class 6-25, MK “A” School Class 14-26, and BM RAP Class 5-25!🛳️
These newly advanced petty officers are stepping into essential roles across the fleet:
• Electrician’s Mates (EMs) will power our cutters, boats, and shore facilities—ensuring operational capability and strengthening military readiness.
• Machinery Technicians (MKs) will maintain the engines and systems that keep our fleet mission-ready for operations at home and abroad.
• Boatswain’s Mates (BMs) will lead boarding teams, drive small boats, and operate on the front lines of law enforcement, border security, and defense readiness.
Each rating plays a vital role in supporting Coast Guard and DHS priorities—from securing the Maritime Transportation System to projecting maritime presence and upholding U.S. sovereignty.
