YCPL is ready to kick off the summer season! Join local band Shanty Grass in concert at Yorktown Library on Wednesday, June 17th for a patriotic performance and traditional sing-alongs. This event is open to all ages and registration is not required. We can't wait to see you there!

Our next Books & Banter Book Club meeting will be held on Thursday, June 25 from 10:30am-11:30am at Tabb Library. This month's book selection is Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. Books and Banter is the perfect book club for anyone who loves both adult fiction and non-fiction books. Grab a copy to start reading today! Registration is not required.

Calling all artists and aspiring artists of all skill levels! We will be hosting a Vivid Art Workshop at Yorktown Library on Saturday, June 13th from 1:30pm-2:45pm. During this workshop we will explore ways to fine tune your vision by reading poems from an array of writers so you can create artwork that resonates with you! All art supplies and poems will be provided by the library. Space is limited, so registration is strongly encouraged.

Deputy Story Time is scheduled for June 10th at 10:15 am at the Yorktown library and we still have spots available.

Also, the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office will be offering the EZ Child ID Digital Fingerprinting System the same day, June 10th at 6:00 pm. This comprehensive service captures your child's fingerprints, photo, medical information, and a short video. Parents will receive a printout of the fingerprints along with a flash drive containing all recorded information. Both programs require registration. We know firsthand how difficult the start of a new week can be. Join us for Coloring & Conversation on the second Monday of each month to unwind, chat with friends in your community, and color!
