It's !

This month’s WIC-approved food is Nut Butter!

Nut butters such as peanut butter are filled with nutritious fats and are high in protein, making them a great and tasty staple for snacks and meals!

Try creating a fun snack with your choice of nut butter. Make a plate of your family’s favorite fruits alongside a scoop of nut butter as a dip, or add a drizzle of nut butter to yogurt or smoothies for some extra flavor!

Meet Amiya, one of the amazing Better Birth Outcomes (BBO) nurses at the Kendall County Health Department!

As a BBO nurse, Amiya partners with local families to support healthy pregnancies, thriving babies, and confident parents. From tracking developmental milestones and safe sleep practices to navigating feeding, finding community resources, and everything in between, our nurses are here to meet families right where they are.

The best part? BBO-C is all about companionship, not judgment. Every family is unique, and our goal is to provide warm support, education, resources, and a listening ear every step of the way.

A word from Amiya for BBO-C families:
"You don't have to have all the answers. That's what we're here for!"

Curious about how the BBO-C program can support your growing family? Send us a message or contact the Kendall County Health Department at 630-553-9100 to learn more!
