The Youngstown Innovation Hub recently welcomed the Ohio House minority leadership to see how our region’s economic development, manufacturing, and academic institutions are joining forces to advance cutting-edge technologies and strengthen the workforce behind them.

During a tour of YBI’s Lamoncha Family Center for Advanced Manufacturing, state representatives met the innovators and growing businesses powering Ohio manufacturing including JuggerBot 3D, LeapFast Manufacturing, Ursa Major, and Engineered Products, Inc.

Innovation is happening here. Northeast Ohio is ready to lead.

The Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace & Defense, managed by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), is seeking U.S.-based (especially Ohio) suppliers with the capability or interest to support the fast-growing small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) market. This Request for Information aims to identify manufacturers with relevant skills or capacity for future opportunities—even if they’re not currently producing sUAS components.

This RFI is not a proposal or purchasing request, but market research to map the supplier landscape and strengthen the emerging sUAS supply chain.
