The Youngstown Fire Department is proud to introduce our two new Pierce Pumpers—the newest additions to our frontline fleet and a major investment in the safety of our community.

These new engines represent more than just new apparatus. They represent a continued commitment to providing our firefighters with the equipment they need to protect the citizens, businesses, and visitors of Youngstown safely and effectively.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Youngstown City Council for their support and investment in public safety. Your commitment helps ensure our firefighters have the tools necessary to answer every call with the highest level of service.

Smoke from the Canadian wildfires is impacting air quality throughout the Mahoning Valley. You may notice hazy skies and the smell of smoke, but please do not call 911 solely to report the odor of smoke unless you see signs of an actual fire or emergency.

Help us keep emergency resources available for those who need them most. Limit outdoor activity when possible, keep windows closed, and take precautions to protect your health.

Training took place in challenging conditions—cold water, rough terrain, and unpredictable environments—pushing both skill and endurance to the limit. Our firefighters rose to the occasion, demonstrating grit, teamwork, and a commitment to mastering life-saving techniques.
